Rev. Arnold MacLauchlan
Executive Pastor
Rev. Arnold MacLauchlan accepted the pastorate at First Pentecostal Church in August 1979.
Arnold was born in Charlottetown, P.E.I. and was raised on the family farm at Stanhope. He graduated from Charlottetown High School, studied Business and Accounting at Holland College in PEI, and did his theological training at Apostolic Missionary Institute until 1974. During this time Arnold did evangelistic preaching until June 1974 when he took the position as pastor in Bishops Mills, Ontario.
On August 3, 1974 Arnold married Grace McBride of Westmeath, Ontario. She received her graduation diploma from High School in Pembroke, specializing in Business. She graduated from Apostolic Missionary Institute in 1974 and was employed at the National Parole Board in Ottawa. Grace has been involved in music ministry in the church and is the finance and office administrator. They have been blessed with three children.
Rev. MacLauchlan received his ministerial license with the United Pentecostal Church International in 1975 and was ordained in July of 1977. He has ministered as a Bible College Instructor, Seminar Teacher for numerous meetings and conferences, and with Foreign Missions in India, Pakistan, Europe, Jamaica, Peru and the Caribbean. His experience in teaching and pastoral ministry is a tremendous blessing and benefit to First Pentecostal Church. He also has served on the District Youth Department (1974-1988), as District Sunday School Secretary (1976-1991), as a District Board Board Member (1990-2000), and is currently serving as the Ontario District Secretary and CAO of Huycks Bay Conference Centre Corporation.
In March 2010, Rev. MacLauchlan resigned as Senior Pastor of First Pentecostal Church after 31 years of service. Rev. MacLauchlan will continue to provide leadership support at FPC and act as an advisor to Pastor Stickler in his new position as Executive Pastor.
